To me, the world is a perilous yet enchanting desert. Through my camera, I seek the Well of Truth hidden within.
Seven Wu is a documentary filmmaker, cinematogrpher, editor and video journalist.
She focused on ethnographic and social justice documentaries, telling stories from diverse communities around the world — from fire victims in Altadena to the indigenous community in Papua New Guinea, from pop culture youth artists in Uganda to female migrant workers in China. Her works aim to humanize lived experiences within complex political landscapes, amplifying marginalized voices. Her documentary and photography works have been featured in ABC News, The Boston Globe, Bilibil, Oakland North, among others.
She is currently commissioned to co-direct an one-hour documentary on the world’s leading game developer miHoYo Inc’s debut game, Honkai Impact 3rd, blending the creative journey of the game developers with the cultural impact of video games as a dynamic art form.
